This Apache warrior's reputation among the Mexican people of Northern Sonora was that of a fierce fighter. The Spanish for St Jerome was called out as a plea for help when he attacked.

Bill Ahrendt was born in Ohio and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art. He then traveled throughout the world, developing an appreciation for the painting style of "The Old Masters".
